Compose Special Characters with Your Keyboard

In applications that are not furnished with a special characters set you are still able to insert various special characters:

Press the NumLock key so that the signal light is on, keep the Alt  key pressed down, and type in the numbers on the number keys at the right side of your keyboard. Then release the Alt  key.
